An allegation is a claim or report made by or about a young person (aged 16 or over) suggesting that a member of staff has behaved in a way that could harm, exploit, or be inappropriate towards them. These claims may involve safeguarding concerns, professional boundaries, or criminal behavior. At the point of reporting, an allegation is not proven, but it must be taken seriously and handled according to clear procedures to protect both the young person and the staff involved.Agape4All’s duty is to: Ensure the safety and welfare of young people. Maintain fair and transparent processes that also protect staff from false or malicious allegations. Report and investigate allegations through appropriate safeguarding and HR channels. Provide support to staff members during investigations (e.g., temporary redeployment, access to counselling, union support). Make sure that allegations are recorded, investigated, and resolved promptly and fairly.
