Our policy is underpinned by the Human Rights Act Principles:
Staff at Agape4all aims to enable young people to live independently with the appropriate support tailored to their individual needs.
Our goal is to help every young person achieve better outcomes by supporting them to reach their ultimate potential through realistic and achievable steps for them to transition into adulthood successfully.
At Agape4all we go above and beyond to find out what each young person within our accommodation’s interests are, whether it be reading, music, art, sports, and languages. Our commitment to working with key organisations to offer every young person regular opportunities to participate and develop their skills prepares them for the future ahead.
The safeguarding and protection of our young people is of utmost importance here at Agape4all. We do so through robust working practices, risk assessments, and clear policies and procedures. Our model and structure ensure that the young person within our home is safe.
We work in partnership with our colleagues across children’s services, health and mental wellbeing, education, and other agencies to ensure that children/young person’s holistic needs are met, and they are receiving wraparound care.
Creative and practical solutions are sought to ensure that care plans and protection plans are implemented fully.
Caring for young people is not only a moral imperative but also a strategic investment in the present and future well-being of individuals, communities, and the global society. It creates a foundation for a more prosperous, stable, and equitable world. This is why we care.
Our approach to managing children/young people displaying challenging behaviors is through resilience, child-focused, positive reinforcement, and non-prejudiced. We emphasize the ethos of positive relationships based on mutual respect, understanding, and the need to function effectively as part of a group.
Our residential support workers act as positive role models and support children/young people to make safe and healthy choices, reduce challenging behaviors, and ensure that the child/young person can realize their potential through learning, fun, and play. Staff ratios enable quality time and attention to be spent developing these relationships.
All children/young people are provided with individual single rooms, allowing them to feel safe in their own personalized environment. Agape4all children’s home promotes a homely living setting while nurturing children/young people to promote positive outcomes for their appropriate stages of development.
